4. Plasmonic and magnetic nanoparticles:

Contact person:
Paola Luches

The activity is focused on the growth of plasmonic metal nanoparticles with controlled size and shape and on the study of their electronic and optical response with particular emphasis on the plasmonic resonances, their temporal evolution, charge and energy transfer dynamics at the interface with the oxide support. Core-shell metal-oxide ferromagnetic-antiferromagnetic nanoparticles with tunable core size and shell thickness are studied in view of the stabilization of the magnetic moment through interface exchange coupling.
