6. Optomechanics for phonon-based telecommuncations:

Our research activity aims at developing on-chip platforms in which phonons transmit coherent information between different quantum systems. To generate and detect beams of coherent phonons the use of nanophotonic cavities operating in the near infrared range is considered, owing to their high quality factors and ultrasmall mode volumes.
