Research interests

Mr. Leonardo Viti received his Master Degree in Physics in 2012 at università di Pisa, Italy. From 2012 to 2016 he was research fellow of the CNR (Nanoscience Institute) at the NEST Laboratory of the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa, Italy. Since June 2016 he is a researcher of the CNR-NANO, working on the EU project Graphene Core I: “Graphene based Disruptive Technologies”. His research activity is focused on the study of low-dimensional semiconductor materials for the realization of terahertz (THz) detectors and optoelectronic devices. In particular, he experimentally investigated semiconductor nanowires, two and three-dimensional topological insulators, van der Waals 2D materials like black phosphorus, graphene and hexagonal boron nitride. Leonardo Viti co-authored more than 20 publications in peer reviewed journals and more than 20 contributions to international and national conferences, workshops, schools and seminars.
