Biographical sketch
Maddalena Scandola is the person in charge of the Communication activities of Cnr Nano Institute. She is editor of the web portal Graphenefactory dedicated to 2D materials research at the Italian National Research Council.
She has been working as science communication professional ay CnrNano since 2010. She is currently one of the Italian National press officer (NPO) of EU Graphene Flagship project. She is lecturer at the Master in Science Journalism and Institutional Communication of the University of Ferrara.
She has a degree in Physics (University of Ferrara) and a Master in Science Communication (International School for Advanced Studies - SISSA, Trieste). She was a member of the European project NanoSci-ERA (Eranet project), 2005-2008. She held seminars and participated to national and international conferences about science communication with focus on nanotechnology.
