Pisa - 28.10.2019 - Start Cup Toscana awards the brain trauma nano-detector developed by Nano researchers
An entrepreneurial project by Istituto Nanoscienze and Scuola Normale Superiore won the 2019 edition of Start Cup Toscana, the competition awarding the best entrepreneurial initiatives with high technological content developed by from the world of research.

The winner, among 10 participants selected for the final run, is the future startup called 'Inta Systems'. The project was presented by Marco Cecchini from Cnr-NANO and Matteo Agostini from SNS, who also received a 5,000 euros prize to develop their business idea.

Inta (INTelligent Acoustics) System was created to develop and market a completely electronic device, the Braiker lab-on-a-chip, which allows the detection of traumatic brain injury from a simple blood tests. This technology can help the diagnose process and can and reduce the use of expensive, slow and invasive tests such as MRI and CT. The device, patented this year was awarded the opportunity to participate to the Premio Nazionale per l’Innovazione, which will take place in Catania from 28 to 29 November.
