- 11.02.2021 - CnrNano supports the International Day of Women and Girls in ScienceIn a year of emergency, a time difficult for everyone and often particularly for women, Istituto Nanoscienze supports the International Day of Women and Girls in Science established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015 and now in its 6th edition. This day is a reminder that women and girls play a critical role in science and technology communities and that their participation should be strengthened. CnrNANO testifies its support with a picture that portrays all the female researchers and young scientists who on this very day are working at the NEST laboratories in Pisa. These 25 woman are junior and senior scientists as well as support staff from CnrNano but also IIT (Italian Institute of Technology) and SNS (Scuola Normale Superiore). Among them are institute directors, research group leaders and coordinators of European and national projects, as well as young woman scientist just starting their path in science. Istituto Nanoscienze promotes the full and equal access for women and girls to science, education, training, employment and decision-making processes. #WomenInScience #InternationaDayOfWomenInScience
