Transistors go metal

Pisa - 27.07.2018 - Transistors go metal
In the featured article Transistors go metal Nature Electronics highlights the fully metallic superconducting field-effect transistor developed by our superconductivity group led by Francesco Giazotto. The superconductive device uses a configuration known as a Dayem bridge and can be fabricated by a one-step electron beam lithography process.

The research paper by Francesco Giazotto, Federico Paolucci, Giorgio De Simoni, Elia Strambini from Nano-Cnr and Paolo Solinas from SPIN-Cnr is now published on NanoLetters: Ultra-Efficient Superconducting Dayem Bridge Field-Effect Transistor
